テレワークでネット環境が必要になったんだけど、自分に最適なサービスがどれなのか分からなくて選べない
こんな疑問へのお答え。ずばり1日3GBくらいの通信量ならWiMAXで十分です。

東京の中小企業の本部に勤めています。立場柄、24時間、曜日問わず社内の人から問い合わせが来て対応しています。それゆえに、週5で出勤しつつ、家でもテレワークというスタイルになっています。そんなボクが在宅勤務は基本的にはWiMAXで十分という理由をお話します。
動画無しのテレワークならWiMAXで十分とおすすめする理由
ずばり、通信速度が十分出て、しかも安定しているからです。ボク自身がこの3年間、公式の「UQ WiMAX
」を使用して問題なくテレワークできていることからお伝えしています。
速度はだいたい10～20Mbpsの間で推移しています。ボクの業務はメール、チャット、クラウドでのデータやりとりがメインで、ZOOMなどビデオチャットの使用は週1,2回くらい。全く問題なく使えています。
3日で10GBというキャパシティを超えない限り通信も安定しています。このキャパシティが注意点です。
注意点は1世帯として通信量のキャパを超えないかどうか
UQ WiMAX」1契約で賄ってきました。
ネット環境を必要とするのはボクと奥さん。
まずボク自身ですが、
・平日日中は会社のWiFi
・通勤中は４G（月7GB契約）
・家ではWiMAX
（WiMAXはルーターをどこにでも持ち運べるので休日＝WiMAXとなり４G通信量をまったく消費しません）。
この状態で専業主婦の奥さんが毎日終日WiMAXを使っていても余裕でした。（奥さんが基本動画を見ないというのも大きいかも）
これに近い環境の方はWiMAXおすすめです。
家族全体での通信量が一気に増えたというケースは固定回線導入へ
最後に今現在の我が家のネット状況と新たな展開「NURO 光」導入についてご紹介しておきます。（ガッツリ動画観る方、家族で暮らている方向けです）
まずボクの消費する通信量が大幅に増えました。
要因は3つ。2019年の終盤から情報収集が「YouTubeで検索し動画視聴しスクリーンショット」というスタイルになったこと、2020年度に入りコロナウイルスの影響でテレワークになったこと。そしてディズニーデラックスに加入して、ディズニー作品とスターウォーズ作品を楽しむようになったこと。これらによりガッツリと通信量が増えてしまったんですね。
コロナウィルスの影響で家族の通信量も増加！
幼稚園が休園になり、子供がずっと家にいる状況に奥さんが耐えかねて、こちらもディズニーデラックスに加入。よって通信量が増加しました。子供もスマホを使う時間が増え通信量が増加。
以上の要因で WiMAXの「3日で10GBまで」という制限を完全に超える生活に突入してます。だいたい3日で15GBくらいの状態で推移するようになり、毎晩絶賛制限中です。
耐えかねて「NURO 光」を申し込みました。WiMAXはNURO光の開通目処が立つギリギリのところで解約予定です。
NURO光では出せる限り最速の通信速度を狙っていこうと思いますが、それは別の記事でまとめようと思っています。
まとめ：テレワークはWiMAXでOKだけど1日3.3GB超えるなら固定回線も要検討
となります。自分の、もしくは自分の家の1日の通信量次第で「 UQ WiMAX 」か固定の光回線を選んでください。
通信量の把握はパソコンなら「Networx」のＷindows portable版で、iPhoneならアプリ「通信量チェッカー」でおこなっています。
